Wow what a freak job, just shows how something can consume you. He has always been a bit to much of a braggart for me always going on about how great he is for helping children. Looks like my Mom will have something to rub in my face.

Uh....no one was mean in that first post or the second one and quite frankly I agree with what the witnesses said to that quack. Someone shouldn't be going to a board designed to ask active witnesses questions trying to "prove" the witnesses wrong. When a Witness comes on to this board blabbering on a subject doing the same thing, they are laughed off of this board. If anything it validated how most JW's feel about ex-witnesses or other religious groups.

Why.......so.......serious?
by Preston inmy partner and i saw "the dark knight" this afternoon and i think it left a lasting impression on us.
i think, in a way, 9-11 has kind of made comic book hero movies... well, obsolete, because few of them have truly shown the effects of a hero's nemesis, if someone that powerful were to operate in today's world.
this is a "batman" movie, but the comparison to the others is so far far away since i haven't since another hero/villain comic book movie to truly tackle the no rules, pro-anarchy, cult-of-personality, of a real movie villain.

When Joker said the line, "you complete me" was it a homage to Brokeback Mountain? I know that was from some famous movie but I couldn't remember!
I thought the wire tapping reference was a bit silly almost like the **SPOILER**(highlight to read)convict throwing the detonation switch out of the boat/Gordon coming back from the dead with ZERO explanation as to how it was pulled off. Your telling me Fox is willing to help **ANOTHER SPOILER**kidnap a man, but not listen in to a few phone calls??. Please give me a break. I know they were trying to imply that even good people have to do "evil" things, it was just a little goofy to me that they had to make it some morale thing.
**EDIT**
Just looked up the "You complete me" bit and it was from Jerry McGuire! I knew I had seen it somewhere!

This has got to be one of my favorite threads ever here on JWD. It almost makes me wish I could have endured the pain of going to Bethel...kind of like watching war movies and kind of wishing I was able to go to war and have some fun stories! Keep up the stories...I think it would be interesting to have someone who served in the 2000's in a very "made man" type of position.
